Job description

The SME Software Developer will provide support services for all aspects of our client’s Reliability and Maintainability Information System (REMIS) software development process, including initial planning, design, software development and coding, prototyping, auditable documentation, manual testing, automated testing, and configuration.

This position can be located remotely anywhere in the U.S.

Your future duties and responsibilities :

1. Assist in transitioning from a Waterfall approach to an Agile (DevSecOps) Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI / CD) methodology.
2. Ensure software development will use Agile, test-driven development principles, with robust documentation, user-centered design, and an extensible infrastructure.
3. Develop, execute, and maintain automation test scripts, utilities, and data sets leveraging commercial and open-source tools.
4. Sustain REMIS effective, efficient operational capability and availability.
5. Design, develop, test, and integrate system and software changes.
6. Maintain application software and COTS software.
7. Perform application and system software maintenance.
8. Design, develop, test, and package changes to system and software.
9. Develop, operate, and maintain prototype applications, models, and databases to determine optimal solutions.
10. Perform system performance tuning and integration services.
11. Responsible for the design, testing, deployment, and sustainment of systems and application platforms.
12. Duties include capturing user requirements; performing coding and data modeling, testing, quality assurance, software configuration management, design, and program documentation; build and deploy, implementation; and maintaining interoperability / integration between systems.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role :

• Minimum 10 years’ experience designing, presenting business logic, and data access code for complex web application architectures.

Expertise in :

• Relational database: Oracle SQL and Oracle PL/SQL
• Automation Tools: Selenium Webdriver

Familiarization with :

• Languages: Python, PHP, and TIBCO
• Tools: JMeter, Checkmarx

Minimum 10 years’ experience in designing, analyzing, integrating, troubleshooting, and optimizing distributed systems using agile lifecycle management and engineering practices. Extensive REMIS software development experience can offset agile experience requirements.

Note: Due to a customer requirement, the successful candidate must obtain and provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination prior to employment. U.S. Citizenship and a SECRET clearance are required.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The current range in the U.S. is approximately $96,000 - $XXX,XXX. Compensation depends on skills, experience, and other factors.
