Clarke Power Services is seeking a S.M.A.R.T Technician for an entry-level, part-time trainee role. The position focuses on mentorship and hands-on diesel truck repair, requiring current enrollment in a Diesel Repair program or related experience.

You will learn in a shop environment under experienced mentors and record work with mobile devices. Ideal candidates are eager to learn, possess a strong work ethic, and are able to adapt to equipment and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a Diesel Repair Program or have exposure and strong interest in truck mechanics.
• Demonstrates desire and ability to learn and a strong work ethic.
• Must be able to obtain DOT Med Card.

Responsibilities

• Mentor-based training in shop with experienced mechanics.
• Perform light & medium duty truck repair under supervision.
• Record repairs using smartphones, laptops, and tablets.

Truck Mechanic - Diesel Technician - Entry Level

SUMMARY

Mentorship Training Program. Trainee will work in shop with experienced mentor mechanics. Training will provide a wide range of real-world experience related to diesel truck repair. Must currently be enrolled in a Diesel Repair Program or have previous exposure to and strong interest in truck mechanics.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

PHYSICAL and SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs with assistance. The associate must be able to read and write reports.
• Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Required: Must be current student at college or technical school
• Auto and Preventative Maintenance Techs encouraged to apply
• Must be able to obtain DOT Med Card
