eNGINE is hiring a Smart Contract Engineer to join a high‑impact Digital Assets Engineering team building blockchain‑powered solutions supporting tokenization, custody, and transaction settlement. This role sits at the intersection of emerging Web3 innovation and highly regulated financial services—ideal for engineers who value security, scalability, and real‑world application.

This position requires working onsite in NYC four days per week.

What You’ll Do
  • Design, develop, and deploy secure, scalable smart contracts for digital asset use cases
  • Partner with product, engineering, and architecture teams to integrate smart contracts with EVM‑compatible chains and institutional platforms
  • Conduct code reviews, enforce development standards, and support secure SDLC practices
  • Build automated testing, validation, and monitoring frameworks for contract deployments
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity teams and external auditors to assess and resolve vulnerabilities
  • Optimize contract performance and gas efficiency in high‑volume environments
  • Support blockchain network integrations, token standards, and enterprise‑grade interoperability
Required Experience
  • 3+ years of hands‑on blockchain and smart contract development
  • Expertise in Solidity and EVM‑compatible development
  • Experience working with Ethereum, Hyperledger Besu, or similar platforms
  • Strong understanding of token standards (EIP‑712, EIP‑7702, ERC‑1451, etc.)
  • Solid grasp of cryptography concepts, MPC, and secure key management
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field
Preferred Experience
  • Financial services, fintech, or regulated enterprise environments
  • Familiarity with custody, settlement, or digital asset infrastructure
  • Experience with Java and Spring Boot
Preferred Certifications
