Qualifications

• An earned doctorate by the appointment start date in civil, architectural, construction, mechanical, or robotics engineering or related field.
• Evidence of, or clear potential for, excellence in undergraduate and graduate teaching.
• Ability to teach in construction robotics and automation, UAS/reality capture, sensing, SHM, digital twins, or data-driven asset management.
• Clear anchoring in civil/construction engineering practice with connection to real operations.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in construction automation, robotics; UAS and reality capture; sensing, instrumentation, SHM; digital twins and BIM-integrated workflows; data-driven asset management and analytics.
• Develop new courses and laboratory modules with robotic platforms, drones, sensing hardware, field data collection, and modern computational tools.
• Advise and mentor students in MQP, IQP, and graduate capstone work.
• Contribute to laboratory facilities, ABET accreditation activities, and outreach; build industry partnerships and reflect current practice.
