Job summary

Blain's Farm & Fleet is seeking a Small Engine Technician to diagnose and repair outdoor power equipment, chainsaws, snowblowers, lawnmowers, UTVs and ATVs. You will provide excellent customer service, assist with parts, and document repairs on work orders.

The role requires prior small engine or automotive maintenance experience, ability to work evenings and weekends, and a commitment to safety. Training opportunities and an associate discount program are available.

Qualifications

• Be able to perform repairs on small engine outdoor power equipment and assist customers with repairs.
• Customer service experience is recommended to assist customers effectively.
• Must be able to diagnose and repair small engine products and document work performed.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair small engine outdoor power equipment, recreational equipment/vehicles, and other mechanical equipment.
• Assist customers by loading and unloading products, locating parts, and answering questions concerning repairs to their units.
• Diagnose, assemble, and repair all small engine and outdoor power equipment sold at Blain's Farm and Fleet stores.
• Document repairs on work orders, track units in the shop, complete and file/close out work orders.
• Assist with warranty claims and file them in a timely manner.
• Contact customer regarding work completion date.
• Attend training classes/seminars for repair technicians.
• Demonstrate awareness and compliance with Loss Prevention and safety policies and/or procedures.
