Job summary

Blain's Farm & Fleet is seeking an on-site technician to diagnose and repair small engine outdoor power equipment and other mechanical gear. You will provide excellent service and assist customers with repairs and parts information in a busy retail environment.

Ideal candidates have prior small engine maintenance and customer service experience, with flexibility to work evenings and alternating weekends. Competitive benefits apply for full-time associates.

Qualifications

• Be 18 years of age or older
• Be able to work evenings when needed and at least every other weekend
• Prior small engine and/or automotive maintenance experience
• Prior customer service experience
• Prior Retail experience
• Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair small engine outdoor power equipment, recreational equipment/vehicles, and other mechanical equipment.
• Provide excellent service and an exceptional shopping experience.
• Assist customers by loading and unloading products, locating parts, and answering questions concerning repairs to their units.
• Diagnose, assemble, and repair all small engine and outdoor power equipment sold at Blain's Farm and Fleet stores.
• Document repairs on work orders, track units in the shop, complete and file/close out work orders.
• Assist with warranty claims and file them in a timely manner.
• Attend training classes/seminars for repair technicians.
• Demonstrate awareness and compliance with Loss Prevention and safety policies and/or procedures.

Compensation

• Saturday & Sunday weekend premium pay $2.50 per hour
• Base pay up to $19.75/hr*

• Attend training classes/seminars for repair technicians.
• Demonstrate awareness and compliance with Loss Prevention and safety policies and/or procedures.
