U.S. Bank is seeking a Senior Small Business Banking professional to partner with branches and manage small-business relationships in the Naperville area.

You will deliver tailored financial solutions to businesses making $500K–$2.5M in revenue and support multiple branches, ensuring proactive discovery and disciplined follow-through. You will translate client needs into actionable guidance, lead referrals, and collaborate across teams to drive growth while maintaining compliance and strong

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance or equivalent experience.
  • Five+ years in customer service, consultative sales, networking or small-business banking.
  • Licensing per NMLS SAFÉ Act requirements and Regulation Z.
  • Compliance with legal/regulatory registration requirements.
  • Maintaining satisfactory criminal and credit records.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of banking operations, sales, pipeline management and relationship management.

Job description

Serve as the primary Small Business Banking partner for assigned branches and relationships
Provide comprehensive financial solutions to small businesses with annual revenues between $500K and $2.5 million
Support two to three branch locations as a dedicated resource for branch teams
Address complex small-business client needs and opportunities
Build and deepen client relationships through proactive outreach, structured discovery, consultative selling, and disciplined follow-through
Translate financial information, cash-flow dynamics, client goals, operating cycle considerations, and risk indicators into practical guidance and solution recommendations
Conduct outside prospecting and sales activities to grow revenue and achieve assigned financial targets and growth goals
Identify client priorities and align products and services to growth, efficiency, and risk objectives
Recommend business deposit, lending and credit, treasury management, payment, business credit card, digital, and cash-flow solutions
Develop internal and external relationships and collaborate with branch partners, centers of influence, clients, and other business line partners
Maintain relationship ownership and coordination through handoff, decision, follow-up, activation, usage, and demonstrated client value
Share referral outcomes, successful sales and service practices, and insights on newly established small-business relationships
Maintain strong CRM discipline and responsible banking practices while balancing acquisition, deepening, and service



Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience and job-related experience
  • Five or more years of customer service, consultative sales, networking, prospecting, and/or small-business banking experience
  • National Mortgage Licensing Service registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z
  • Ongoing compliance with all legal or regulatory registration requirements
  • Maintaining a satisfactory criminal and credit record
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of banking operations, product knowledge, sales, new business development, customer service and relationship management, community relations, pipeline management, and responsible banking practices
  • Ability to comply with U.S. Bank policies and procedures, including the Code of Ethics and Business Conduct and related workplace conduct and safety policies
  • Ability to work from a U.S. Bank location for all scheduled work days
