Job summary

TEMPO Employment Services is seeking a Business Advisor to strengthen the managerial capabilities of small business clients through high‑quality advising, training, and referrals to financing sources. You’ll act as a liaison between clients and the Lending and Business Development Department, handling projects in Aroostook County and surrounding region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in business administration or related field.
• Minimum five years’ experience in private business or industry.
• NEPD certification within first year of employment.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Improve managerial skills of small business clients through high‑quality advising, training, and referrals to sources of financing and other business assistance.
• Act as a liaison between clients and Lending/Business Development Department; provide referrals and assist with financing sources.
• Document all client interactions and monitor progress; stay abreast of current programs and major issues for small business.
• Administer Technical Support Programs and perform additional duties as assigned.
