Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Risk Management professional skilled in SAS/SQL, data analysis, and reporting tools to manage small business credit card credit risks through underwriting strategies.

You will develop segmentation and strategies to optimize financial impact, forecast results, and communicate changes to senior leaders. The role requires 5–7 years of experience, strong analytical skills, and proficiency with Python, SAS, SQL, Excel, and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• Five to seven years of related experience.
• Preferred: degree in computer science, analytics, statistics, data science or related field.
• Two+ years of credit card risk management experience encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite strategies for the Small Business Credit Card portfolio and analyze historical data for risk mitigation and growth opportunities.
• Develop tools, segmentations, and strategies to optimize financial impact; forecast and track results against forecasts.
• Communicate strategy changes and financial impact to partners and senior leaders.
• Query large datasets using Python, SAS EG or SQL Plus and perform segmentation & decision-tree analysis.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, and Data Warehouse teams to keep data organized and build reports for data-driven decisions.
• Create and automate timely, accurate tracking using Power BI for senior management.
