Job summary

Desort's Richmond Hill veterinary practice is seeking a full-time Veterinarian (Small Animal) to join a close-knit, supportive team. Open to new grads with mentorship and growth opportunities.

You will provide preventive, diagnostic, and medical care for companion animals; perform wellness exams and vaccinations; develop treatment plans; educate owners; and collaborate with staff to ensure excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• DVM or equivalent degree from an accredited university.
• Active veterinary license or eligibility to obtain licensure in the state of practice.
• DEA license preferred but not required.
• USDA accreditation preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Compassionate, client-focused approach to veterinary medicine.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive preventative, diagnostic, and medical care for companion animals.
• Conduct wellness examinations and vaccinations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on each patient's needs.
• Educate clients about preventive healthcare and treatment options.
• Build strong, lasting relationships with clients and their pets.
• Collaborate with veterinary and support team members to provide excellent patient care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and follow appropriate veterinary standards.
• Participate in mentorship and continuing professional development.
