Job summary

Animal Medical Centers – Spencer is seeking a full-time associate veterinarian to focus on small animal medicine within a growing, well-established practice.

You’ll have mentorship and case collaboration access across our Hartley and Sheldon locations, providing support beyond a typical small-town setting.

Open to new graduates; DVM/VMD and active Iowa license or eligibility required; enjoy a collaborative team and opportunity to shape the small animal service line.

Qualifications

• DVM or VMD degree required; Iowa license or eligibility to obtain before start date.
• Interest in small animal medicine with mentorship and collaboration.
• Strong communication with clients and team-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and preventive care for small animal patients.
• Utilize in-house diagnostics and radiography to form accurate treatment plans.
• Collaborate closely with a trained support staff and mentors across locations.
• Maintain clear, compassionate communication with clients and build long-term relationships.
