Job summary

Spring Lake Park Schools in Minnesota seeks a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant to serve students district-wide in General and Special Education settings from Centerview Elementary through 4th grade. The role emphasizes direct articulation, language services, and collaboration with an SLP.

You will develop lesson plans, prepare progress reports, draft performance levels, prep materials, and assist transitions to general education.

Qualifications

  • AAS Degree, or BS in Speech and Language Hearing Sciences with SLPA hours.
  • License through the State of Minnesota (SLPA from MN Department of Health).
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Maintains confidentiality/data privacy.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct service in articulation, stuttering, and language under the supervision of a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP).
  • Develop lesson plans for providing service.
  • Prepare progress reports and day-to-day documentation for student service.
  • Draft present levels of performance for review by SLP.
  • Draft skill ideas to work on for review by SLP.
  • Prep materials and make visuals for speech services provided to students for SLP and SLPA as needed.
  • Assist with Transitioning skills into general ed.
  • Assist with interventions set up by SLP.
