Height Street Skilled Care in Bakersfield, CA is seeking a dedicated Speech Therapist (SLP) to join our team. This full-time role focuses on evaluating and treating speech, language, cognitive, and swallowing disorders with an interdisciplinary team to provide compassionate, resident-centered care.

The qualified candidate will hold an active CA SLP license (CCC preferred), collaborate closely with staff, and maintain compliant documentation.

Qualifications

• Active Speech-Language Pathologist license in California is required.
• CCC certification preferred.
• Previous experience in a skilled nursing facility preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for residents
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure comprehensive care
• Monitor and document resident progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
• Educate residents, families, and staff on therapy techniques and care plans
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines
• Ensure compliance with all safety, infection control, and HIPAA standards
• Participate in care planning meetings and required in-service trainings
