Job summary

Belton Regional Medical Center is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a PRN role in a busy hospital rehabilitation setting. You will evaluate and treat patients with communication, cognitive, and swallowing needs, using evidence-based approaches to promote independence and safe swallowing.

You will document care, educate patients and families, and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other therapists to ensure coordinated, high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• BCLS required within 30 days of start date.
• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology (ASHA or state-licensed)

Responsibilities

• Evaluate communication, cognitive, and swallowing abilities using structured assessments, standardized tools, and clinical observation.
• Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans.
• Document evaluations, daily notes, progress updates, and discharge summaries accurately.
• Educate patients and families on therapy goals, safety recommendations, home strategies, and progress.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing and rehabilitation teams to support coordinated care.
