Job summary

Bayside Post-Acute in Florida is seeking a compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our skilled nursing team. You will evaluate residents, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide direct therapy to improve communication, cognition, and safe swallowing.

You will collaborate with physicians, nurses, and a multidisciplinary staff, document progress in EMR, educate residents and families, and participate in care plan meetings.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current Florida Speech-Language Pathologist license or ability to obtain licensure before employment.
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred or eligibility to obtain certification.
• Strong clinical assessment, treatment, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents for speech, language, cognitive, voice, and swallowing disorders.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on resident goals and clinical needs.
• Provide direct therapy services to promote communication, cognition, and safe swallowing function.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, rehabilitation professionals, caregivers, and facility staff.
• Monitor resident progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory and facility requirements.
• Educate residents and families regarding treatment strategies and home exercise programs.
• Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions.
