Job summary

Chukchansi Gold Resort & Casino is seeking a Supervisor for Slot Technicians to oversee the maintenance and repair of all slot machines and peripherals. You will lead a team, ensure high guest service standards, and maintain safety and accuracy in daily operations.

The role requires extensive electronics knowledge, supervisory experience, and familiarity with Microsoft Office applications; a technical background in gaming devices is preferred. On-site work in California is expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Five or more years experience in electronics and maintenance of technical equipment.
• Experience maintaining gaming devices or slot machines preferred.
• Two years experience at supervisory or management level.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of Slot Tech Staff.
• Maintain and repair electrical and mechanical slot machines.
• Diagnose and repair circuit boards and slot peripherals.
• Review reports and maintenance logs; manage parts and supplies.
• Ensure guest service and safety, and manage training of technicians.
• Assist in budgeting and inventory control for the tech shop.

Job Description:

SUMMARY:

Responsible for the direct supervision of the Slot Technicians and the overall repair and maintenance of all electrical and mechanical slot machines under the direction of the Slot Tech Manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Interacts effectively with the public and Team Members.
• Performs excellent guest service at all times.
• Interacts positively with guests and Team Members and deals with difficult guests in all types of conditions.
• Develops and maintains positive guest relations and ensures the safety and security of all guests and Team Members.
• Possesses thorough technical knowledge of slot machines and all slot peripheral equipment.
• Diagnoses and identifies printed circuit board problems for repair.
• Researches and diagnoses slot equipment malfunctions and gives guidance and instruction to Slot Technicians.
• Assists the Slot Tech Manager in successful supervision of daily activities and work performance of the Slot Technicians.
• Assists the Slot Tech Manager with required documentation of slot moves, conversions, installs, maintenance and repair logs, purchase orders and requisitions for slot machine parts and supplies, delegating projects and training of Slot Technicians.
• Assists the Slot Tech Manager in reviewing reports and statistical data for malfunctions or other problems and implements appropriate maintenance and repair lists.
• Handles guest service and minor guest disputes.
• Develops, implements and maintains inventory control in the Tech Shop.
• Possesses the understanding and knowledge of slot machines and peripheral equipment.
• Maintains a consistent, regular attendance record.
• Ushers as needed by management for events.
• Performs any reasonable request made by management.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Directly supervises Slot Tech Staff.
• Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws.
• Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training Team Members; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining Team Members; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

• Electronic degree preferred.
• Must be computer literate.
• Must be fluent with Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Access.
• Must be able to work effectively with fellow Team Members as well as management and Team Members from all departments.
• Must possess supervisory and good interpersonal skills.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

• Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Must be able to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Must be able to speak effectively before groups of guests or Team Members.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY:

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
