Job summary

Oxford Casino Hotel in Oxford, Maine, part of Churchill Downs Incorporated, seeks a Slot Attendant to monitor currency transactions, logs, and reports under Title 31. You will perform minor repairs and observe play for tampering, while delivering courteous customer service on the casino floor.

The role requires cash handling experience, basic math skills, and the ability to stand/walk for long periods, with a focus on compliance and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent experience is preferred.
• Must be able to obtain a Gaming license through the state of Maine.
• Previous experience in slot department preferred, but willing to train if all other qualifications are met.
• Previous cash handling experience preferred.
• Must possess basic math skill to make change with coin and currency.
• Walk the casino floor up to 10 hours.
• Must know and understand Title 31 procedures.
• Ability to communicate special promotions to our guest.

Responsibilities

• Monitors currency transactions and completes appropriate logs and reports pursuant to Title 31.
• Repairs minor machine malfunctions.
• Observe slot play for illegal machine tampering/abuse and provide customer service.
• Maintains inventory, check in sheets, and reconciling of their assigned bank when in operation.
• Responds to slot machines in a timely manner to resolve guest problems with slot machines.
• Maintains slot floor security and notifies supervisor of issues.
