Job summary

Transcendia, Inc. is seeking a production operator for 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 3:45 PM–12:15 AM) with a $0.50 per hour shift differential. Candidates must be safety-conscious, quality-focused, accurate with tape measures, and proficient with computerized reporting.

The role involves operating and monitoring machines, labeling rolls, inspecting film for defects, and ensuring packing specs are met. Ability to read production tickets and perform basic math is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or preferred.
• Ability to work at a fast pace and multitask in a production setting.
• Must read production tickets and perform math calculations including fractions.
• Ability to read tape measures and micrometers accurately.
• Computer literacy is required for reporting and data entry.
• Demonstrates commitment to continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe working environment by following all safety policies and reporting unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Meet or maintain company quality standards.
• Start and monitor production machines and run jobs.
• Label all rolls produced.
• Adjust machines during runs and respond to issues found during visual inspection.
• Review packing specifications in the computer system to ensure customer specs are met.
• Inspect film daily for defects.
• Review packing specifications.
• Be willing to work in other departments and perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Operators must be highly safety conscious, quality focused, proficient, and accurate using tape measures, mechanically inclined, and experienced in computerized reporting.

Must be willing to work 2nd Shift: Monday - Friday, 3:45PM to 12:15AM. This shift is applicable to a .50 cent per hour shift differential.

Job Duties

• Maintain a safe working environment by following environments by following all company safety policies and procedures and reports unsafe conditions and incidents
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area
• Maintain company's quality standards
• Run the job by starting the machines and monitoring the production.
• Properly label all rolls produced
• Adjust the machine during the run and respond to problems found during visual inspection
• Review the packing specifications by locating the information in the computer system to ensure the customer specifications are met
• Inspect film each day for any defects
• Review packing specifications
• Must be willing to work in other departments and/or areas and complete miscellaneous duties as assigned

Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), one to three years of experience preferred
• Ability to work at a fast pace
• Ability to multitask and read production tickets
• Ability to perform math calculations including fractions
• Must be able to read tape measure, including micrometer
• Must be computer literate
• Must be dedicated to continuous improvement
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds, bend, stretch, or stand for extended periods of time
