Job summary

MCC is hiring a Slitter Operator in Weaverville, NC. The role involves operating a Slitter/Rewinder, ensuring correct unwind positioning and ongoing quality checks on print and seam integrity.

Candidates should be able to lift up to 50 pounds and use basic Windows applications, Radius/Globetek data entry, and simple math to manage label counts and conversions.

Qualifications

• Ability to add/subtract, multiply and divide to figure label counts and conversions.
• Ability to perform these operations using standard US units (money, weight, volume, distance).
• Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operates a Slitter/Rewinder to run rolls and position unwinds per specification.
• Continuously checks print and seam quality.
• Removes defective material and splices roll web as specified.

Responsibilities:

• Operates a machine called a Slitter/Rewinder, running rolls of material and puts them in the desired unwind position as dictated per the specification.
• Continuouslychecks for print and seam quality.
• Removes defective material and splices theroll webback together perthe specification.
• Utilizes a ruler, safety knife, and hole punch during splicing procedure (tools are used at other times as necessary).
• Handlesrollsandpalletizesthem accordinglyas tonotcausedamage to them.
• Must understand basic printing andseam relateddefects.
• Recording and entering data on designated paperwork as well as in the company operation system (Radius/Globetek).
