Qualifications

• Two or more years of slitting experience.
• Ability to operate slitting equipment and perform setup.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and use of rulers, gauges, calipers.
• Commitment to safety and teamwork.
• Able to learn computerized production logs.

Responsibilities

• Operate slitting equipment to meet quality and productivity standards.
• Ensure equipment runs in accordance with standards.
• Perform minor repairs and preventative maintenance as needed.
• Verify correct raw materials are being used.
• Maintain a safe working environment and report hazards.
• Adjust machines during production in response to issues.
• Ensure quality and quantity produced on the machine.
• Record production data and test results accurately.
• Communicate with management and shift personnel daily.
• Maintain housekeeping in the slitter area and surroundings.
• Pack and handle materials as required.
• Adapt to changes and take on other tasks as assigned.
• Suggest improvements through teamwork and CI processes.
