The role involves facilitating diagnostic sleep studies, calibrating equipment, placing sensors, scoring events, and ensuring patient safety while working under NY licensure requirements.

Position Title: Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with sleep management experience

Pay: $40 to $55 an hour plus benefits.

Location: Rhinebeck, NY

Shift: Overnights 8:00 PM–6:00 AM

Position Overview

We are urgently seeking an experienced Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), with sleep management experience and NY licensure, for a full‑time position at our sleep lab. This role involves providing sleep services and facilitating diagnostic testing and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate polysomnographic tests and collect accurate data.
• Prepare and calibrate equipment, apply electrodes, sensors, and airway pressure masks per established protocols.
• Record patient activities, monitor study quality, and document clinical events such as respiratory and cardiac episodes.
• Score clinical events and tabulate data for physician review.
• Adhere to safety regulations and laboratory protocols.

Job Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or higher; completion of an accredited Polysomnography program required.
• Certification/Licenses:
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
• Experience: Prior experience as an RPSGT or RRT in a sleep lab setting.
• Physical Demands:
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear; use hands to operate equipment.
  • Close, distance, and peripheral vision with ability to adjust focus.
  • Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, 25 pounds frequently, and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Other: Vaccination and immunization records or titers may be required; must meet federal employment eligibility requirements (E‑Verify participation).
