Job summary

SLEEP RX LLC in Kishwaukee, IL is seeking a qualified Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) for a full-time night shift at our sleep lab. Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSG) Sleep Technologist or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)

Must be a RPSGT or RRT to qualify for this position and have IL licensure.

Pay: $40 to $55 an hour plus benefits.

Location: Kishwaukee, IL

Shift: Overnights 8:00 PM–6:00 AM

Position Overview

We are urgently seeking an experienced Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) or a Registered Respiratory (RRT) for a full-time night shift position at a sleep lab in Kishwaukee, IL. This role involves providing sleep services primarily on weekends (8:00 PM–6:00 AM) to facilitate diagnostic testing and patient care.

Responsibilities

• Testing and Data Collection: Facilitate polysomnographic tests and collect accurate data.
• Equipment Preparation: Prepare and calibrate equipment, apply electrodes, sensors, and airway pressure masks per established protocols.
• Monitoring and Recording: Record patient activities, monitor study quality, and document clinical events (e.g., respiratory and cardiac episodes).
• Data Analysis: Score clinical events and tabulate data for physician review.
• Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations and laboratory protocols.

Job Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or higher required; completion of an accredited Polysomnography program required.
• Certification/Licenses:
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) certification or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) certification required.
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
• Experience: Prior experience as an RPSGT or RRT in a sleep lab setting.
• Physical Demands:
  • Ability to stand, walk, sit, talk, and hear; use hands to operate equipment.
  • Close, distance, and peripheral vision with ability to adjust focus.
  • Lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, 25 pounds frequently, and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Other: Vaccination and immunization records or titers may be required; must meet federal employment eligibility requirements (E-Verify participation).

Schedule

Full-time, primarily weekends, 8:00 PM–6:00 AM
