Job summary

Pivotal Health in Smithtown, NY is seeking a Sleep Technologist (RPSGT) to join our clinical team. The role includes overnight polysomnographic testing, electrode application, data monitoring, and event scoring in a busy sleep lab.

Full-Time & Part-Time opportunities are available with competitive pay, sign-on bonuses, and incentives. RRT/CRT candidates encouraged to apply and pursue SDS credential as part of growth within sleep medicine.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Polysomnography Program (required).
• Current New York PSG License and/or CRT/RRT License (required).
• Current BLS/CPR Certification (required).
• Immunizations and health clearances as required.
• Strong technical, communication, and patient care skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct overnight polysomnographic sleep studies.
• Prepare patients for testing and explain procedures.
• Apply electrodes, sensors, and monitoring equipment according to standards.
• Calibrate and troubleshoot diagnostic equipment.
• Monitor and evaluate patient data throughout the night.
• Score and analyze sleep, respiratory, and cardiac events.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and records.
• Ensure compliance with lab, regulatory, and safety standards.
• Deliver outstanding patient-focused care and support.

What You'll Do

As a Sleep Technologist, you'll play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care while ensuring high-quality diagnostic testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct overnight polysomnographic sleep studies
• Prepare patients for testing and explain procedures
• Apply electrodes, sensors, and monitoring equipment according to industry standards
• Calibrate and troubleshoot diagnostic equipment
• Monitor and evaluate patient physiological data throughout the night
• Perform PAP mask fittings and troubleshooting
• Score and analyze sleep, respiratory, and cardiac events
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient records
• Ensure compliance with all laboratory, regulatory, and safety standards
• Deliver outstanding patient-focused care and support

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Polysomnography Program
