Job summary

The Department of Veterans Affairs – VA Northern California Health Care System in Stockton, CA seeks a Sleep Medicine Neurologist to join our expanding specialty care team. You will evaluate, diagnose, and manage sleep disorders and interpret sleep studies in collaboration with Sleep Technologists.

Qualified candidates hold MD or DO with Neurology board certification or eligibility; Sleep Medicine board certification or eligibility; full, unrestricted U.S. licensure.

Qualifications

• MD or DO with board certification or eligibility in Neurology.
• Board certification or eligibility in Sleep Medicine.
• Full and unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and management of sleep disorders, including insomnia, sleep apnea, parasomnias, movement disorders in sleep, and other neurologically related sleep conditions.
• Interpret sleep studies and collaborate closely with Sleep Technologists and interdisciplinary teams.
• Support outpatient Neurology services as part of a collaborative specialty team.
• Participate in quality and performance improvement initiatives within the service line.
• Typical Monday-Friday schedule with no excessive call burden.

• Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, and management of sleep disorders, including insomnia, sleep apnea, parasomnias, movement disorders in sleep, and other neurologically related sleep conditions.
• Interpret sleep studies and collaborate closely with Sleep Technologists and interdisciplinary teams.
• Support outpatient Neurology services as part of a collaborative specialty team.
