Job summary

Cook Children’s Health Care System is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the Sleep Medicine Clinic in an ambulatory setting. The MA will collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers to prepare and deliver patient care, following established policies and the nursing process to augment treatment plans and ensure excellent patient relations.

Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:30 am–5:00 pm. Education: graduate of accredited MA program or current MA certification; Licensure: current BLS;

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program or current MA certification.
• Current BLS Certification required.
• National certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and delivery of ambulatory patient care in the Sleep Medicine Clinic.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers in an ambulatory care setting.
• Follow departmental policies and procedures and apply the nursing process to augment the medical plan of treatment.
• Maintain good customer relations and provide courteous patient care.
