Zusammenfassung

Aiken Regional Medical Centers, part of Universal Health Services, is seeking a Sleep Lab Tech PRN to perform comprehensive sleep testing and analysis under supervision. Responsibilities include applying sensors, conducting polysomnograms, and generating reports for physician review.

Requirements include high school diploma, AMA-approved sleep tech program, SC license, and BLS; 6 months sleep study experience preferred.

Qualifikationen

• High school graduate.
• AMA approved school for Respiratory Care, EEG, or related health sciences program with an emphasis in sleep technology.
• RCP must hold current SC Respiratory Care Practitioner License; others must complete A-Step.
• RPSGT, CPSGT, or SDS credential preferred within 2 years of hire.
• BLS certification by the AHA required.
• Minimum of 6 months experience performing sleep studies and CPAP/BiPAP titration preferred.

Aufgaben

• Apply sensors and monitoring devices per laboratory standards.
• Write a comprehensive patient history and explain tests to patient/family.
• Perform polysomnograms with CPAP/BiPAP titration.
• Determine and initiate appropriate treatment modalities per physician order.
• Document and monitor artifacts.
• Facilitate high-quality recording and monitor patient data.
• Observe and record wake-sleep data in patient records.
• Generate analysis summary reflecting scored data.
