Job summary

Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown, PA seeks a Sleep Lab Manager to lead clinical operations for the sleep lab, ensuring high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with the Medical Director, Neurology, Sleep Specialists, and technicians to oversee equipment, education, and QA initiatives, while aligning with AASM and Joint Commission standards. This full-time role requires a Bachelor's degree and relevant clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Four years of experience in clinical healthcare.
• Credentials: RPSGT, RST, or RRT-SDS or eligible within two years.
• Ability to supervise sleep technicians and EEG technologists.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and infection control.

Schedule:Full-Time (40 hours per week) | Salaried | Primarily daylight hours, with occasional night shifts + no on-call responsibilities or travel required.

How you'll contribute

A Sleep Lab Managerwho excels in this role:

• Comply with applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and standards regarding safety and infection control issues.
• Follows HIPAA and privacy policies to maintain the privacy and security of patient information.
• Works collaboratively with the Medical Director, Neurology, Sleep Specialists, and technical staff to maintain quality patient care.
• Provides education to patients, community members, and technical staff.
• Coordinates routine equipment care and maintenance and inventory evaluation.
• Demonstrates computer skills appropriate for the position.
• Demonstrates effective written and verbal skills.
• Responsible for clinical operations: through independent judgment provides direction to sleep technicians/EEG technologists and works collaboratively with administrative staff.
• Collaborative oversight of Epilepsy Monitoring Unit on 10 Rose where EEG Technicians provide assistance with patient care.
• Functions as a role model in clinical specialty, demonstrating competency in clinical judgment, select technical skills and appropriate knowledge base stepping into the role of a technologist as necessary.
• Develops and monitors Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement initiatives. Involves staff in initiatives through planning, data collection, and analysis.
• Actively participates in evaluation of new products, procedures, and equipment.
• Remains aware of current sleep research and assists staff in implementing relevant findings as applicable.
• Aligns departmental policies with the standards of the AASM and Joint Commission.

What we're looking for

Applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree in related field. Additional requirements include:

• Four years in experience in Clinical Healthcare.
• One of the following credentials or eligible within two years: Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT), Registered Sleep Technologist (RST), or Registered Respiratory Therapist with Sleep Disorders Specialist (RRT-SDS), Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (REEGT).
