Job summary

Intermountain Healthcare seeks a Medical Assistant to provide care in an ambulatory clinic setting, supporting clinicians and communicating with patients by phone and in person.

The role emphasizes teamwork, privacy of patient information, and delivering high-quality care for acute and chronic needs; requires MA program completion or MA experience, BLS, and basic computer skills. Shift is 40 hours weekly, Monday–Friday at McKay Dee Sleep Clinic in Layton, UT.

Qualifications

• Completed Medical Assistant program or 1 year MA experience.
• Current BLS certification prior to start date.
• Basic computer skills (word processing and data entry).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; PHI/privacy aware.
• Utah MA residency program if certified with <1 year MA experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care by assisting the clinician during visits.
• Communicate with patients via telephone and in person.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support care.
• Maintain attention to detail and ensure follow-through.
