Job summary

Daily’s Premium Meats is seeking production crew for the AM and PM shifts in Salt Lake City, UT. You'll be at the center of a fast-paced environment, involved in pump, raw, press, and precook roles to support our meat processing line.

Starting pay is $19.35 per hour plus a $1 shift differential. Benefits include health insurance, overtime opportunities, weekly pay, paid vacation and holidays, a 401K with company match, unpaid time off, and opportunities to apply for other roles with no waiting

Qualifications

• Stand/walk on concrete floors for 10+ hours per day, 6 days per week.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds, occasionally lift to 75 pounds and sometimes push/move up to 100 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Experience in a fast-paced, cold, wet, hot, and humid environment from 48 up to more than 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
• Noise level is usually moderate but can be very loud.
• Previous production experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Follow proper department procedures outlined in Daily's training manuals.
• Understand bacon specification requirements to ensure quality.
• Follow procedures outlined by Department Supervisor/Leads.
• Follow Daily's attendance and punctuality rules.
• Follow Daily's food security guidelines.
• Follow all Daily's Safety guidelines as outlined in the Safety Handbook.
• Assist Department Supervisor, Production Lead and Team Members in meeting production and quality requirements.
• Maintain accurate counts.
• Adhere to product specifications.
• Work at a pace consistent with the required line speed.
• Keep accurate records as needed.
• Strict compliance with sanitation requirements.
• Always minimize scrap.
• Sweep floors and aisles as instructed.
• Keep all scraps picked up from floor in your work area.
• Washing buildings and equipment as needed and scheduled.
• Keep all trash and items picked up.
• Assisting in cleaning and maintaining office area.
• Other duties as assigned.
