Job summary

Skyline, a Transforming Age community, is seeking a part-time Medication Technician (Med-Tech) in Seattle. The candidate will prepare and pass medications, document administration, and maintain logs in an electronic system per policy.

Prior CNA certification and CPR/First Aid are required, with experience in long-term care preferred. Competitive pay at $27 per hour, with benefits and a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• WA State Certified Nursing Assistant certification required.
• Experience with computerized Point of Care systems preferred.
• Minimum 6 months in long-term care, home care, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and passes medications for residents as ordered by a physician.
• Documents administration or refusal of medication in required format and style.
• Maintains documentation and communication log per procedures, using electronic system when appropriate.
• Reorders meds as needed and ensures timely availability.
• Follows medication policies and procedures, including storage, dispatch, and destruction of medications.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Orders labs as necessary.* Performs other duties as assigned.**What you need to succeed:*** High school diploma or equivalent.* Must be a WA State Certified Nursing Assistant* Working experience with computerized Point of Care and other systems.* 6 months or more in long term care, home care or related field preferred.* Successful completion of Med Tech Training program and Medication Aide/Medication Tech certification in state, as required.* Minimum of six months experience in long term care, home care, or a related field.* Ability to speak, read, write and understand English language.* Current CPR/First Aid certification.* Successful completion of background check, drug screen, and other pre-employment testing as required by state (may include fingerprinting and/or pre-employment physical).
