Qualifications

• Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist welders and fabricators with daily shop operations.
• Prepare materials for welding, including measuring, cutting, grinding, and fitting components.
• Operate grinders, saws, drills, and other fabrication equipment.
• Read and interpret basic blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Clean and prepare metal surfaces for welding and assembly.
• Assist with fabrication, repair, and assembly projects.
• Move materials and finished products throughout the shop safely.
• Perform quality checks on completed work and report any issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow safety PPE requirements.

Welder Helper Responsibilities

• Follow all company safety procedures and PPE requirements

Welder Helper Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous welding, fabrication, manufacturing, or mechanical experience preferred
• Welding school graduates are encouraged to apply
• Basic knowledge of MIG and/or TIG welding preferred
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, grinders, and measuring devices
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately
• Ability to follow directions and work in a team environment
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and lift throughout the shift
• Ability to regularly lift up to 50 pounds
