Job description

Skilled Welder/Fabricator

Welcome to ESC – a sister company of Empire | $20–$28 per hour

Tired of putting in the hard work but feeling like you're just another number?

You know how to work hard. You take pride in building something with your own two hands. You show up, get the job done, and don't believe in cutting corners. But wouldn't it be nice to work somewhere that recognizes your effort, challenges you to get better, and surrounds you with people who have your back?

At ESC, we're not just looking for someone who can weld. We're looking for someone who takes pride in what they build and the people they build it with.

We're a team of hardworking people who believe life is about more than punching a clock. Whether it's hunting, fishing, watching sports, racing, or spending time with family, our people know how to work hard and enjoy life outside of work.

We believe the people you work with matter just as much as the work you do.

What if your next job could give you more than just a paycheck?

Who We're Looking For

You're the kind of person who doesn't need someone looking over your shoulder to get things done. You notice the details others miss, take ownership of your work, and aren't afraid to get your hands dirty.

You might be a great fit if:

• You've got grit. When something gets difficult, you don't quit. You figure it out.
• You're loyal. You believe in showing up for your teammates and being someone others can count on.
• You enjoy the journey. You take pride in the process, enjoy learning new skills, and know how to have a little fun along the way.
• You have integrity. You do the right thing, even when nobody is watching.
• You bring a positive mindset. You look for solutions instead of excuses.
• You can read blueprints, understand basic welding processes, and turn plans into quality work.
• You have experience using hand tools, power tools, and preparing materials for welding.
• You're detail-oriented, mechanically minded, and enjoy figuring out how things work.
• You're comfortable working independently but know the value of a strong team.
• You want to keep improving your skills instead of doing the same thing every day.

Sound like you? Keep reading.

What Your Days Could Look Like

At ESC, you'll have opportunities to put your skills to work, solve problems, and see the results of what you've built.

You will be someone who:

• Reads and understands blueprints and fabrication drawings.
• Measures, cuts, and prepares materials for welding and fabrication.
• Performs welding on smaller projects while continuing to develop your skills.
• Uses hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Helps maintain equipment, tools, vehicles, and an organized work environment.
• Works alongside teammates to complete quality projects safely and efficiently.
• Takes initiative when something needs to get done.
• Is willing to learn new equipment, including skid loaders and other heavy machinery.

We don't expect you to know everything. But we do expect you to bring the attitude, effort, and willingness to learn.

What You'll Bring to the Team

• Basic welding and fabrication experience.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license; CDL is a plus.
• U.S. work authorization.
• Dependable attendance and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, kneel, climb ladders, work at heights, and perform physical tasks.
• Willingness to work in varying weather and shop conditions, including heat, cold, and dust.
• Availability Monday through Friday, with occasional weekends and overtime as needed.
• First Aid/CPR/AED and OSHA 10 certifications preferred.

What's In It for You?

Because where you work should help you build a better life, not just make a living.

At ESC, a sister company of Empire, we believe hard work should lead somewhere. We want people who are looking for more than their next paycheck. We want people who want to build skills, grow professionally, and be part of something they're proud of.

Here's what we offer:

• $20–$28 per hour, based on experience and skills.
• 401(k) to help you plan for your future.
• Health, dental, vision, and life insurance to help protect what matters most.
• Paid time off because your life outside of work matters, too.
• Professional development assistance to help you continue growing.
• Travel benefits: ESC pays for employee hotel accommodations when traveling, plus $50 per day in per diem on top of your regular pay.
• A team-first culture built around grit, loyalty, integrity, a positive mindset, and enjoying the journey.

This Isn't for Everyone. And That's Okay.

If you're looking for a place to just show up, collect a paycheck, and watch the clock, ESC probably isn't for you.

But if you're the person who takes pride in a clean weld, gets satisfaction from a job done right, and wants to be surrounded by people who work hard and have each other's backs, we should talk.

You spend a big part of your life at work. Shouldn't it be somewhere you actually want to be?

The job you've got might pay the bills. But what if the job you want could help you build the life you're working for?
