Job summary

Casa de Fruta in Hollister, CA is seeking a full-time Skilled Trades Worker to support day-to-day maintenance across our orchard resort and fruit stand.

The role covers electrical, plumbing, HVAC, repair work, equipment maintenance of commercial food-grade gear, and minor construction. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required.

This position offers a Monday–Friday core schedule with flexibility to meet visitor demand, plus benefits such as health insurance and PTO.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction trades including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
• Maintenance experience with commercial food-grade equipment preferred.
• Able to perform minor construction tasks and repairs.

Job description

We are currently seeking a full-time Skilled Trades Worker to be a part of the day to day maintenance activities of our unique environment. Experience in construction trades such as electrical, plumbing, HVAC, repair technician, which includes equipment maintenance (commercial food grade equipment), and minor construction.

• HEALTH INSURANCE - Regular full-time employees are eligible to enroll in our Medical, Dental and Vision plans the first of the month following 60-days of employment in full-time status. We also offer various supplemental insurance programs to meet your specific needs.
• PAID TIME OFF (PTO) – Full-time non-exempt employees begin accruing PTO at a rate of one week for the first year of employment, which can be used after 90 days of employment (.01925 hours per regular hour worked). The accrual rate increases to two weeks after two years of employment (.0385 hours per regular hour worked).

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Must possess a valid California driver license. Must be able to provide a clean DMV driving record, upon request.

Although this position works Monday-Friday, qualified individuals MUST be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed. Must be professional, friendly and enjoy working with the public!
