Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years of experience in installation, inspection, repair, servicing, and maintenance of electrical equipment and systems.
• Holds a valid electrician’s license.
• Pass a colorblindness test.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Demonstrate integrity and good character.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate well with students, staff, administration, parents and community.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, motors, and control systems.
• Install, maintain, inspect and service power feeders, transformers, switches and lighting.
• Use test equipment (ammeters, voltmeters, ohmmeters) to diagnose faults.
• Read and interpret plans, specifications and diagrams.
• Maintain records of equipment used, work performed and time spent.
• Ensure safety, fire hazards and compliance with laws and policies.
