Job summary

NANA Regional Corporation is seeking a skilled scaffolding specialist to erect, dismantle, move, repair and inspect scaffolding at the Red Dog Mine site in Alaska. You will perform pre-work inspections and ensure safe, compliant setup and operation in high, outdoor environments.

The role requires 5+ years of scaffold building, a current Competent Scaffold Erector Card, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work at heights with fall protection. No supervisory duties are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 10 years scaffold builder experience considered.
• Minimum five years scaffold building experience.
• Current Competent Scaffold Erector Card/Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Erect, dismantle, modify, repair and inspect scaffolding.
• Carry components from staging to erection location.
• Work at heights with 100% tie off and adhere to procedures.
• Determine maximum load capacity of scaffolding in use.
• Use hand and power tools safely.
• Identify hazards and maintain safe distances from electrical lines.
• Determine safe mitigations for dropped objects and falls.
• Assemble fall restraint and fall protection per OSHA/MSHA policies.
• This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
• Other duties as assigned.
