Job summary

Gibbon Packing, LLC, an American Foods Group Company, is seeking a General Production - Rendering team member in Gibbon, Nebraska. You will assist in maintaining logs, inspect equipment sanitation, open valves, monitor temps, and move materials through rendering processes, ensuring safety and compliance.

You will perform duties in varied temperatures around moving equipment, with training in Safety, SQF, GMPs, HACCP, SOPs, and Food defense; overtime may be required as production needs dictate.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be able to work in varied temperatures with PPE around moving equipment.
• Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Ability to work extended hours Monday through Saturday with overtime; start times vary by production needs.
• Complete training: Safety, SQF, GMPs, HACCP, SOPs, Food defense.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintenance of daily logs; report unsafe conditions; record plant operating data.
• Complete inspection of equipment to ensure sanitation before rendering.
• Assemble rendering equipment and test proper functioning.
• Open valves and start pumps/conveyors to move materials through rendering.
• Monitor temperature, flow, and condition of materials; adjust as needed.
• Dump guts and other inedible parts into chute; label containers 'Not for Consumption'.
