Job summary

My Square Home in Columbus, Ohio is seeking a Skilled Remodeling Technician to take ownership of residential remodeling projects, from planning through completion. Expect independent work, attention to detail, and collaboration with a production team to deliver high-quality results.

The role offers $27–$35 per hour based on skills and experience, with PTO and holidays, and a clear growth path toward Lead Carpenter and field leadership roles.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of hands-on remodeling experience across multiple trades.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong written and verbal communication with homeowners and teammates.
• Accountability, reliability, and follow-through on commitments.
• Support and mentor less-experienced technicians when needed.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute day-to-day work on assigned projects with quality and safety in mind.
• Identify material needs, verify deliveries, and keep the site organized.
• Coordinate with Project Manager and team on schedules and field solutions.
• Maintain a clean, professional job site and provide progress updates.
• Follow through on punch lists and ensure a strong final result.

We’re looking for a dependable, experienced remodeling professional who wants more than a list of tasks. In this role, you take ownership of your assigned project—from planning the day’s work and coordinating materials to delivering a finished space you’re proud to put your name on.

You’ll have the independence to make sound field decisions, the support of our production team when you need it, and the opportunity to grow into a larger leadership role.

What project ownership means here:

• Plan and execute the day-to-day work on your assigned project, keeping quality, safety, and efficiency front and center.
• Identify material needs, verify deliveries, keep the jobsite organized, and communicate issues early.
• Take responsibility for workmanship, progress updates, customer interactions, and a clean, professional jobsite.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager and other team members on schedules, scope questions, and field solutions.
• Follow through on details, punch-list items, and a strong final result.

Put your skills to work

Projects may include kitchens, bathrooms, basements, and other residential improvements. Your hands-on work may involve demolition, framing, drywall installation and finishing, interior trim, cabinet installation, flooring, tile, doors and windows, and final punch-list or warranty work.
