Job summary

Putnam Science Academy seeks a Full-Time Plumber at the Main Office in Putnam, CT. The role supports the maintenance department, reporting to the president, and involves installing and repairing plumbing, heating, drainage, and related systems.

Responsibilities include reading blueprints, coordinating with contractors, using CMMS for work orders, and ensuring safety standards are followed. Competitive pay and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid CT State driver’s license required.
• Current CT Plumbing License with knowledge of CT Code.
• Must pass a CORI/SORI background check.
• Must wear/use safety clothing/equipment at all times.

Responsibilities

• Perform emergency and routine repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Install and repair water pipes, heating, drainage, and disposal systems.
• Read plans, sketches and blueprints and review construction documents for projects.
• Assist outside contractors and with in-house project design/reviews.
• Maintain CMMS work orders and close them appropriately.
• Complete and close CMMS work orders.
• Assist with loading and assembling necessary equipment.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
