Job summary

Mount Sinai Queens is seeking a skilled Painter – Engineering Support to maintain and refresh ceilings, walls, and surfaces across hospital facilities. You will prepare surfaces, mix paints, and apply coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment, with emphasis on safety and quality.

The role supports a preventive maintenance program and involves indoor and outdoor work, including use of ladders/scaffolds. A High School Diploma or GED is required; prior painting experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior painting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares surfaces for painting and protects areas.
• Mixes and blends paints to achieve desired color.
• Paints ceilings, walls, woodwork and fixtures with brushes, rollers or sprays.
• Works indoors and outdoors, uses ladders or scaffolds.
• Performs duties as part of Preventive Maintenance Crew.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
