Job summary

Schnucks is hiring for a service meat department position. You will provide friendly customer service, assist in cutting and preparing all cuts of meat, grinding meat, and assembling product for service cases. You will follow safety guidelines and ensure proper temperatures and sanitation.

Training will be provided at store level and opportunities to advance exist within the company. This role requires standing for long periods and handling heavy loads in a cold environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in meat department preferred.
• Ability to read shelf tags and price products.
• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers.
• Follow company safety guidelines when using equipment.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly and courteous service to customers.
• Cut and prepare all cuts of meat including blocking beef, pork, lamb & veal.
• Grind meat and cube steaks & patty steaks.
• Prepare product for the service meat case and rotate stock.
• Maintain cleanliness of work area, equipment and meat cases.
