Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Proven experience as a mason or in a similar construction role is required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings is required.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor, including lifting heavy materials and working in various weather conditions is required.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and use of PPE is required.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret drawings, and specifications to determine project requirements.
• Prepare and lay out work areas, including measuring and marking surfaces for masonry work.
• Mix mortar and other materials to the correct consistency for bonding bricks, stones, or blocks.
• Build and repair walls, partitions, arches, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and stones.
• Ensure all masonry work is level, plumb, and aligned according to project specifications.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to cut, shape, and install masonry materials.
• Inspect completed work for quality and adherence to safety standards.
• Collaborate with other construction professionals to coordinate tasks and meet project deadlines.
