The Valley Health System is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support West Henderson Hospital’s facilities. You’ll perform carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting and general building tasks, maintaining equipment and infrastructure to support patient care 24/7.
Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, 2+ years of trades experience or a suitable certification, and strong troubleshooting and math skills to diagnose and fix issues across mechanical and electrical systems.
West Henderson Hospital is our seventh acute care hospital in The Valley Health System. It is located at the southwest corner of Raiders Parkway and St. Rose Parkway, near the Las Vegas Raiders' headquarters. The 150-bed hospital is equipped to care for patients with a variety of medical needs. Services available include emergency care, cardiac care, neurology care, surgery, gastroenterology and inpatient care for medical needs such as pneumonia.

Responsible for the maintenance of the physical plant buildings, grounds, equipment and utilities. Individual Maintenance Technicians are originally hired to perform “specialty tasks” i.e., carpentry, painting, etc. and are expected to work in other trade fields when trained and qualified.
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Completion of a certification course in a trade or two (2) years practical experience in one or more of the following trades: carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting, locksmith, general building, general equipment maintenance. Associates of Science Degree in related field, such as HVAC, Central Station Equipment or other technical field preferred.
Minimum two (2) years experience required. Certification/Degree may be substituted for experience.
Skills in one or more of the specialized trades.
Certification in specialized trade preferred. (carpentry, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc.)
Must have basic mathematical aptitude and exceptional troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities to be able to identify problems and make recommendations for corrective action with all mechanical and electrical systems and equipment.
