Job summary

Manatee Memorial Hospital is seeking a Maintenance Technician II in Bradenton, Florida to ensure safe, reliable operation of building systems and medical facility equipment. The role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and calibrating air handlers and HVAC components, often during off-shift hours to minimize disruption to care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Minimum of three (3) years of general maintenance, facilities, or building operations experience required.
• Prior experience in a healthcare or institutional environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Maintenance Technician II performs intermediate-level maintenance, repair, and diagnostic work to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation of building systems and equipment.
• This role conducts detailed troubleshooting, resolves equipment malfunctions, and restores operation of critical systems such as air handlers, HVAC components, and temperature-control devices.
• The technician responds to work orders and system failures with minimal supervision, often during off-shift hours, and provides technical support to Maintenance Worker I staff and hospital departments.
