Job summary

QPS Employment Group is seeking a Maintenance Tech for a manufacturing facility in Lee’s Summit, MO. This direct-hire position offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to work with complex automation systems.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance on injection molding and printing equipment, HVAC and electrical systems, welding and metal fabrication, and maintaining building infrastructure. Candidates should be able to pass POET, lift heavy loads, and work at heights.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate knowledge of Building Electrical Branch Distribution.
• Demonstrate knowledge of chilled water treatment.
• Demonstrate knowledge of low voltage control wiring.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Electrical 480V 3-phase circuits.
• Demonstrate ability to use plasma cutting equipment or torches.
• Basic knowledge of lathes and milling equipment with aptitude to learn more complex machining.
• Must pass POET to demonstrate capability for essential functions, including heavy lifting and working at heights.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of injection molding machine.

• Operate and maintain mechanical room and HVAC systems.
• Weld, fabricate, and install metal components per drawings.
• Maintain building exterior, lighting, signage, and roofing.
• Maintain pumps, motors, piping for tower and chilled water system.
• Ensure safe operation of rail car loading equipment and doors.
• Work at heights and in variable temperatures; lift heavy materials as needed.

Requirements

• Demonstrate knowledge of Building Electrical Branch Distribution
• Demonstrate knowledge of chilled water treatment
• Demonstrate knowledge of low voltage control wiring
• Demonstrate knowledge of Electrical 480V 3-phase circuits
• Demonstrate ability to use plasma cutting equipment or conventional gas torches
• Demonstrate ability and have a basic knowledge of lathes and mill equipment with the aptitude to learn more complex machining skills
• Must be able to pass a Post Offer Essential Functions Test (POET) to demonstrate the capability to safely perform the essential functions of the job, including heavy lifting, working at heights, and working in extreme temperatures
• Ability to provide direction/leadership to department trainees and specialist positions
• Work environment may include noise exposure, some outside weather conditions, and working at heights on some lift equipment
