Job summary

The candidate will work on a range of systems including chilled water, pumps, motors, piping, and electrical distribution, with night shifts (B or D) and a direct hire path. Safety and reliability are essential for this facility.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Building Electrical Branch Distribution
• Knowledge of chilled water treatment systems
• Knowledge of low voltage control wiring
• Knowledge of Electrical 480V 3‑phase circuits
• Ability to operate plasma cutting equipment
• Basic knowledge of lathes and milling equipment with aptitude to learn more complex machining

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintenance of injection molding machines
• Repair and maintenance of dry offset printing machines
• Operate and maintain the mechanical room
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems
• Paint and repair building surfaces
• Repair lighting and signage
• Repair roof and ceiling tiles
• Install/repair guard rails and doors
• Maintain pumps, motors, and piping for tower/chilled water system
• Operate/maintain chiller system and air compressors/dryers
• Perform welding and fabrication per drawings
• Support electrical modifications and basic facility projects
• Ensure safety and compliance during maintenance work

Position Title: Maintenance Tech

Wage: $66,560-$70,720/year

Shift: B Nights or D Nights

Hours: B Sunday-Tuesday (Every other Wednesday) 7:00pm-7:00am or D Thursday-Saturday (Every other Wednesday) 7:00pm-7:00am

QPS Employment Group is hiring a Maintenance Tech for a company in Lee's Summit, MO. This is a direct hire opportunity.

Maintenance Tech Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• - Repair and maintenance of injection molding machine
• - Repair and maintenance of dry offset printing machine
• - Operation and maintenance of mechanical room
• - Troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of HVAC
• - Painting
• - Repair and clean lighting
• - Repair roof
• - Repair and replacement of ceiling tile and grid
• - Install/repair guard rail
• - Repair overhead and fast-up doors
• - Repair Lexan windows
• - Provide general maintenance of building exterior
• - Repair parking lot lighting
• - Repair indoor and outdoor signage
• - Repair emergency lighting
• - Repair and maintain exhaust fans
• - Perform repair and modifications for facility electrical
• - Perform maintenance and repair of pumps, motors, and piping for tower and chilled water system
• - Operate and maintain chiller system
• - Perform repair and maintenance of air compressor
• - Operate and maintain air dryer
• - Perform repair and maintenance of rail car loading equipment
• - Safely weld utilizing Mig Welding minimum
• - Lift, cut, and arrange steel materials per drawings or custom fabrication
• - Perform basic drill press functions and accurately
• - Any other duties assigned

Maintenance Tech Requirements:

• - Demonstrate knowledge of Building Electrical Branch Distribution
• - Demonstrate knowledge of chilled water treatment
• - Demonstrate knowledge of low voltage control wiring
• - Demonstrate knowledge of Electrical 480V 3-phase circuits
• - Demonstrate ability to use plasma cutting equipment or conventional gas torches
• - Demonstrate ability and have a basic knowledge of lathes and mill equipment with the aptitude to learn more complex machining skills
• - Must be able to pass a Post Offer Essential Functions Test (POET) to demonstrate the capability to safely perform the essential functions of the job, including heavy lifting, working at heights, and working in extreme temperatures
• - Ability to provide direction/leadership to department trainees and specialist positions
• - Work environment may include noise exposure, some outside weather conditions, and working at heights on some lift equipment
