Inglewood Unified School District is seeking a Skilled Maintenance Specialist Plumber to perform journeyman-level plumbing in construction, alteration, maintenance, and repair of building systems. The role may supervise helpers and requires after-hours availability for emergencies.
The position is located in Maintenance, pays a monthly salary range of $5,312.63 to $6,451.53, and requires a California operator's license and hand tools.
Under general supervision, performs duties at journeyman-level plumbing in the construction, alteration, maintenance and repair of building equipment and related systems; may supervise helpers at a low level; must be available for after hours, weekends and emergency calls; does other work as required.

The outcome of the Skilled Maintenance Specialist Plumber's job performance will be as follows:
Equivalent to graduation from high school.
(4) Four years of journeyman-level experience in the plumbing trade.
Possess and maintain a valid California operator's license to operate District vehicles as determined by the District and liability insurance carrier. Must provide own hand tools.
Plans and specifications; standard practices, materials, hand and power tools of one or more trade; safety practices and regulations pertaining to the trade; applicable city, county, state and building codes.
Read plans and specifications; use tools and machinery of the trades, follow written and oral instructions; work from sketches and diagrams.
Ability to relate effectively with staff, students, parents and community, good judgment and flexibility.
An employee in this class must serve a probationary period of six (6) months during which time an employee must demonstrate at least an overall satisfactory performance. Failure to do so shall result in the employee's termination.
