Job summary

Quitman County School District is seeking a Maintenance/Grounds Worker in Marks, MS to support building and grounds upkeep. You will assist with electrical, carpentry, roofing, painting, plumbing, irrigation, and lawn care tasks to keep district facilities safe and functional.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Ability to write routine reports and communicate with staff.
• Math skills for measurements, rates, ratios and decimals.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance and repair of lighting and electrical systems.
• Carry out rough and finish carpentry in building upkeep.
• Repair or replace glass, flooring, roofing and ceilings as needed.
• Install and maintain irrigation, plumbing, drywall, and metal work.
• Operate hand and power tools safely and follow safety protocols.
