Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Knowledge of pumps, valves, gearboxes, piping and large-scale mechanical assemblies is required.
• Able to work long hours in fast-paced, industrial environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform turning, threading, boring and facing operations on various size lathes.
• Operate large horizontal and vertical boring mills and other shop machines.
• Interpret blueprints and sketches.
• Use precision measuring tools to verify dimensions to tight tolerances.
• Maintain shop safety rules and handle heavy parts up to 40,000 lbs.
• Transport parts using forklifts and cranes.
• Assist with shop improvement activities.
• Other duties as required.
