Job summary

Denny's is seeking a cook to prepare ingredients and cook to order in a fast-paced kitchen. You will maintain fry line sanitation, refrigeration, freezer units, dry storage, and stock items as needed. Present food to order adhering to company standards and timing.

Responsibilities include ensuring guest satisfaction with proper plate presentation, following safety protocols, and adhering to company policies. This role requires teamwork and a professional image in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Must have 2 years of experience as cook.
• Must be able to read, write and possess good communication skills.
• Must be able to stand on feet for extended periods of time, bend, kneel, some heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold.

Responsibilities

• Must cook food to order and maintain proper sanitation of fry line, refrigeration, freezer units, dry storage, and do some stocking.
• Must ensure guest satisfaction by proper plate presentation and cooking to Denny's specifications and guest preference.
• Prepare ingredient items to recipe and company standards.
• All food prepared must adhere to company standards and be presented in a timely manner.
• Learn and adhere to all company standards and policies.
• Maintain proper fry line sanitation at all times and handle equipment as needed.
• Complete all required paperwork, side-work, stocking, daily cleaning tasks and any other duties safely.
• Be able to handle peak business hours and present a professional image.
