Granite Construction is seeking a reliable laborer for Merritt Island, Florida. The role supports construction crews by erecting and repairing structures, moving materials, and following precise directions to maintain project quality.

You will mix concrete, level earth, tie pipe sections, and assist with scaffolding. This job requires strong physical stamina and the ability to lift 50–100 pounds, with safety and teamwork as priorities.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma, GED or equivalent years of experience.
• Appropriate training and experience required.
• Must be able to lift 50 to 100 pounds.
• Able to climb ladders, scaffolds, and carry tools.
• Must be able to stand or walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Measure distances from grade stakes, drive stakes, and stretch tight line.
• Bolt, nail, align, and block under forms.
• Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement.
• Level earth to grade specifications using hand tools.
• Mix concrete using portable mixer.
• Smooth and finish freshly poured cement or concrete.
• Position, join, align, and seal pipe sections.
• Erect scaffolding, shoring, and braces.
• Dismantle forms and remove projects from concrete.
